Most food plans aimed at losing or gaining weight require you to eliminate certain foods while adding in others. In order not to fall off the wagon and break the plan because it just wasn’t sustainable, when considering it, think about how it fits into your life and not how you will fit your life into it.
That means, if you absolutely love your sweets, perhaps a low-carbohydrate diet will only be a path to failure because eventually your craving for sweets will be irresistible and you’ll binge on that cake or candy. In that case, perhaps a plan that allows a certain amount of sugar each day would be better for you. If you love your fried foods but you have high cholesterol, then find a diet that features alternative oils that do not increase your cholesterol or add cholesterol-lowering foods.
