There are a few different techniques you can try to face your fear. The first is by gradual exposure to the thing that you’re afraid of. You can test your fear in this way. There’s an old analogy that describes this approach:

A man fears there is an electrode behind him. He takes a tiny step back, then another, then another, then another. Eventually, he discovers there is an electrode because he gets shocked, only to discover it’s not as horrible as he thought it would be. Or, he discovers there is nothing there but his imagination. Either way, he knows the truth of what is behind him and is freed of his fear.

The Litany Against Fear was used in Dune, by people who were trying to focus on their minds during crises ( Many people find strength to face their fear when they repeat it:

I must not fear.

Fear is the mind-killer.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

I will face my fear.

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Other ways to face your fear is to research it to get to the truth of it. By understanding it, your fear will often lessen.
